Welcoming new students to DPS Deoghar is a moment that we cherish deeply. We see every child as a unique individual, brimming with curiosity, fresh energy, dreams, potential and possibilities. Choosing the right school is, we know, a significant decision for every parent.
That is why our admission process is thoughtfully designed to be transparent, supportive, and respectful of both children and parents, reflecting our strong commitment to partnership and trust.
Registration
Admissions for the 2026–27 academic session (Pre-Nursery to Grade VI) begin with an online registration, available on our website from November 1, 2025. We encourage parents to review our Prospectus and Admission Information booklet to become familiar with our ethos and expectations before beginning the process.
After submitting the online form, kindly print out the completed registration form, affix recent passport-sized colour photographs of the child and both parents, and submit the documents along with the registration fee at the school office within three days of online submission.
Screening and Assessment
All complete applications will be carefully reviewed. For Pre-Nursery, Nursery, Preparatory, Class I, and Class II, admissions are granted based on an Observation-cum-Interaction session. We value the presence and participation of both parents during this stage and assure you there is no formal interview for these primary classes.
For Classes III to VI, candidates will be invited for an age-appropriate assessment and an interactive session designed to help us understand each child’s abilities and potential in a warm, pressure-free environment.
Parents are requested to bring copies of the Admit Card on the date and time specified for their child’s assessment. Upon arrival, please hand over the student’s copy of the Admit Card to the designated session in-charge before the assessment begins. The whole process usually takes about three to four hours. We suggest planning your day accordingly, so you and your child can move through each step comfortably and without hurry.
Assessment Syllabus
Kindly note that the admission assessment syllabus has been designed to be age-appropriate and stress-free for all applicants, carefully considering the cognitive capacities of each age and grade level. The syllabus will be provided at the time of issuing the admit card.
