Clubs & Societies
Students are encouraged to join clubs based on their interests, including the Science Club, Literary Society, Art & Craft Club, Dramatic Society, and Eco Club among others. These platforms are more than hobby groups—they’re spaces where students explore their creativity, sharpen their thinking, and learn to share ideas with confidence. From writing and debates to experiments and art projects, clubs give every student a chance to be heard, enlightened, and inspired.
Cultural Programs
Cultural expression holds a special place at DPS Deoghar. Our calendar is filled with lively performances, festive celebrations, and theme-based events that allow students to connect with their roots while appreciating diversity. Whether it’s music, dance, theatre, or recitation, cultural programs provide a stage for students to shine and express themselves beyond academics.
Throughout the year, we celebrate important occasions such as Independence Day, Republic Day, Kargil Vijay Diwas, Gandhi Jayanti, and International Women’s Day, honouring the spirit of our nation and the contributions of remarkable individuals. We also observe the birth anniversaries of great leaders and thinkers, organise Mother’s Day assemblies, and hold special events to mark Teachers’ Day, Earth Day, and other significant dates. These celebrations help students develop pride in their heritage, empathy for others, and a deeper understanding of the world around them.

Every student at DPS Deoghar is a proud member of one of our four houses—Aryabhatta, Buddha, Ashoka, and Chanakya—each named after visionary Indian thinkers who represent wisdom, leadership, and integrity. Our house system builds a strong sense of identity and belonging, while nurturing healthy competition and teamwork.
Throughout the academic year, students enthusiastically participate in a wide spectrum of inter-house events, including quizzes, creative writing competitions, elocution, debates, shloka recitation, and yoga sessions. The house spirit extends to the sports field with energized tournaments in badminton, kho-kho, kabaddi, basketball, and swimming, among many others. These activities are not just about winning; they are opportunities for every child to lead, collaborate, and grow with confidence.
National-Level Exposure
Our focus on excellence ensures that students are not only active within school, but are also groomed to participate in prestigious inter-school events, academic conclaves, and national-level competitions. Be it science symposiums, Olympiads, or literary meets—students are trained and encouraged to represent the school at higher platforms, where they compete with the best of individuals from across the country, in various activities and bring laurels for the school.
Field Trips & Educational Tours
We believe learning should be lived, not just learned. That is why we organize regular field trips to historical landmarks, science centers, farms, museums,and ecological sites. These trips help students connect classroom topics with the real world, making academic concepts more relatable and memorable. They also build connections, social skills, and curiosity through shared experiences outside the school campus.
